Introduction

Young children are naturally curious and explore the world around them, but they do not yet understand danger. Constant supervision is one of the most effective ways parents and caregivers can prevent accidents and respond quickly when a child needs help.

At Love Maternity Lesotho, we encourage parents to practise active supervision by staying close, being aware, and creating safe spaces where children can explore confidently.

Safety Tips

• Always keep babies and toddlers within sight
• Never leave a child alone on changing tables, beds, or high surfaces
• Stay close during bath time and around water
• Avoid distractions such as phones when supervising children
• Teach older children safe behaviours
